Teen Court is an alternative system of justice, where first-time offenders are tried by their peers for misdemeanor offenses

Teen court does not determine guilt or innocence; it recommends a constructive sentence for the juvenile defendant. 

Youth brought before Teen Court as offenders are taught to accept responsibility for their actions; they pay back the community through community service and Teen Court duties.

Not Just For Offenders

Teen Court is a "hands on" educational experience for students.  Teen Court enables youth to better understand our legal system of justice.
